Gourd Observations

Today we discussed what it means to make "observations" of something. Our plan was to observe gourds using magnifying glasses, draw a picture of the gourds, and use words to help us describe our observations. We defined the word "observations" together and talked about how the words we might use to describe gourds are also called adjectives. Adjectives are describing words; adjectives help us to describe things.

Here is some of the work that students did today while making observations of gourds! We will continue with these observations throughout the next week.
