This week we officially began our Camp Buccaneer activities! Camp Buccaneer is a time during the last two weeks of school in which students will participate in a number of pirate themed activities across all of the 1st and 2nd grade classrooms. Each classroom has their own durags to wear to each activity to help them look like real pirates!
First in our pirate camp activities, we pretended we were stranded on an island, and we wrote messages in a bottle to send out to sea! Students sent their messages and then found a new one in return that they will write a response to. The students are already loving it!
